My name is Kaoru Cruz. I’m Environmental Scientist. I live in California USA.

I burried this plate in the backyard of my house, there's a raised bed garden and I buried it there.

I have two raised bed garden boxes in the backyard, and when we built them, we used the redwood lumber that we deconstructed from the backyard deck. I remember my husband and his friend took a whole day to build the boxes. Then for several years we planted mostly summer vegetables, I loved it when we had a mint bush because I could make a glass of mojito from the plant in the backyard. But lately we haven't planted anything and the boxes are sitting there looking quite sad. I'm glad I could use the soil/box for a fun experiment for my friend.

私の名前はカオル。環境科学者です。アメリカのカリフォルニア州に住んでいます。

この銅版は、自宅の裏庭にある花壇の中に埋めました。

わが家の裏庭には2つの木枠で囲った花壇があります。これを作った時、裏庭のデッキを解体したときに出たレッドウッド材を使いました。夫と彼の友人が一日がかりで作ってくれたのを覚えています。数年間は主に夏野菜を植えていましたが、ミントの木を植えていた頃は、それででモヒートを作ることができたので、とても気に入っていました。でも最近は何も植えていないので、箱はこころなしか寂しそうです。私の友だちの楽しい試みのためにこの土の箱を使えるのは、とてもうれしいことです。
